About the guided outdoor activities
We offer a variety of activities such as winter hiking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and tobogganing. We will adjust the activities to weather conditions and plan our routes around the
training sessions - we might offer short 2-hour activities if we decide to have a 4-hour training session or we might offer a snow shoe day tour on one day as well. Because we have a maximum of
12 guests we can adjust and personalize to make sure that we offer activities that suit everybody's needs.
Required experience & fitness level
You do not need any previous First Aid experience but even if you do have experience you will learn new things. To able to participate in the outdoor activities a basic fitness level is
desirable (practicing any kind of cardio exercise for at least one hour a week should suffice) and you should not have any serious knee injuries that prevent you from being able to walk
About the program
We don't have a set daily schedule - our program is dependent on weather conditions and group preferences. To give you an impression the program might look like this:
Day 1: Arrival day. We unpack our bags and get to know each other over dinner and drinks
Day 2: After breakfast we start the week with a 4-hour training session with a coffee break in the middle. We are dropped off in town to go out for lunch and l take a 2 hour hike to explore the
surroundings and go back to MoaAlm, where a cold beer and warm meal awaits us.
Day 3: Today it is snowing and there is poor visibility so we decide to stay close to house for a full day of training. Because we all love the outdoors we will make sure that we spend practical
training time outside! We end the day with a healthy meal and maybe a game of table tennis for those interested.
Day 4: It is the day "off". You can choose to go skiing/snowboarding for a day, go on a self-guided hike or maybe relax at MoaAlm, enjoy the sun from our terrace and read through your course
material. Tonight is also the night out - we will drive you to/from the restaurant of your choice but if you prefer to toboggan down you can!
Day 5: The weather amazing - fresh snow and blue skies. We decide to make the most of it and go for a day-long snow shoe tour! We bring a picknick and enjoy the scenery. We have an early dinner
and end the day with a camp fire outside.
Day 6: After breakfast we decide to have a 2-hour training session. We go our for lunch in town and spend the afternoon cross country skiing. Those who are experienced go off with one guide and
the beginners enjoy an introduction workshop and a good laugh. We all meet up for drinks and dinner at MoaAlm.
Day 7: We start the day with the practical course exam which consists of role play - because of all the practical training that we have done all week the exam is nothing more than a fun exercise,
nothing to be worried about! In the afternoon we offer some more tobogganing and snow shoeing. Those who enjoy downhill skiing can hit the slopes. We all meet up for 'acres-ski' celebratory
drinks and dinner.
Day 8: Departure day. After breakfast we pack our bags and say goodbye.
