Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to whatever is happening in our lives. It will not eliminate life's pressures, but it can help us respond to them in a calmer manner that
benefits our heart, head, and body. It provides us with a scientifically researched approach to cultivating clarity, insight, and understanding. Practicing mindfulness allows us
to be fully present in our life and work, and improve our quality of life.
The mindfulness training is provided by Marie Christine Roeleveld, who has extensive experience as a psy- chologist, coach and mindfulness trainer. The program is based on the
work of Jon Kabat Zinn, the American physician and founder of mindfulness.
During the training you will learn the theory behind mindfulness and practice different forms of mindfulness meditation to find out what suits you best.
Our program is subjected to weather conditions and group preferences but a day during our retreat week could look like this:
Yoga & meditation
Outdoor activity (e.g. hiking or mountain biking)
In the middle of the week there is one day off. You could go discovering the mountains, visit the beautiful city of Lienz or relax at MoaAlm and read a book on our sunny terrace!
